Welcome to Filipino Band Musicians Hall of Fame Foundation (Filhoff)
Filipino musicians are found worldwide — in nightclubs, events, cruise ships, and orchestras. Music is deeply woven into the Filipino spirit. It is not only a natural talent but also a vital part of everyday joy. This unique ability to create, interpret, and share music has made Filipino musicians stand out as outstanding artists on the global stage.
One notable example is Freddie Aguilar, composer of the timeless piece “Anak” (Child), which reflects Filipino family values and has been translated into more than 50 languages.
Recognizing the need to honor and support these gifted artists, the Filipino Band Musicians Hall of Fame Foundation (Filhoff) was created in 2011 and incorporated in 2013. Our mission is to identify, vet, and recognize individual musicians and ensembles that meet rigorous, objective criteria, designating them as “Outstanding.” This recognition ensures that their musical legacies are celebrated and preserved.
Filhoff is led by a Board of Directors composed of former and current band musicians, business leaders, and professionals — all serving as volunteers. In 2013, the Internal Revenue Service granted Filhoff 501(c)(3) charitable status.
Our mission extends beyond recognition. We advocate for Filipino musicians who are infirm or impoverished by organizing fundraising efforts to provide them with much-needed support.
Since its founding, Filhoff has:
These accomplishments highlight not only our commitment to preserving Filipino musical heritage but also our dedication to helping musicians in need.
The COVID-19 pandemic temporarily curtailed Filhoff’s activities, forcing many initiatives into hiatus. Despite these challenges, our mission endures, and we remain committed to supporting and honoring Filipino musicians.
Today, Filhoff continues to thrive through corporate sponsorships, fundraising concerts, and public donations. We invite you to join us in this worthy cause. A donation button is available on our platform, and every contribution — large or small — directly supports the recognition and welfare of Filipino musicians.
With a strong history of accomplishments and a clear vision for the future, we remain committed to preserving this musical legacy and ensuring it continues to inspire generations to come.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, thank you for your time, your support, and your shared belief in the value of honoring Filipino musicians.
